About the Doctor
I am George E. Brewster, Jr., DC, FASBE. I grew up in Wayne, New Jersey, attended Fairleigh Dickenson University for my undergraduate education and Life Chiropractic College for my graduate training.
I am Board Certified Fellow in Spinal Biomechanical Engineering. This specialty evaluates and identifies abnormal biomechanical patterns in the spine. It has been estimated that 95% of back problems are associated with biomechanical issues of the spine.
Chiropractic has developed the reputation as the go to doctors for back pain because the overwhelming majority of people with back pain have biomechanical problems with their spine.
Other causes of back pain include fractures, tumors and infections, but these conditions are rare. When a person seeks care I always review the patients' history and perform the appropriate examination. If there is an issue that requires medical attention, I will either refer you to a medical specialist for care, or work with your medical doctor so that you can get the best of both approaches.
I have been in practice for 36 years and have successfully helped thousands of people with complex health problems. I continue to take post graduate courses to keep current and improve my skills. I enjoy learning and helping people.
Many medical doctors refer patients to chiropractors. There are medical doctors who do not refer to chiropractors, but generally many of these are the old timers who haven't worked with chiropractors personally.
Proper communication is important, so I tell my patients to let their medical doctors know that they are receiving chiropractic care. When medical doctors are repeatedly exposed to the positive results of chiropractic patients intra-professional cooperation will increase, patients will benefit and our healthcare delivery system will improve.
Three things I love about chiropractic are:
"The power that made the body, heals the body, God doesn't need any help, just no interference."
If you have suffered with back pain or have a chronic health issue it is likely that you have a biomechanical spine issue that is interfering with you health. If you would like to find out if you could be helped, call to get a spinal check-up.
Overcoming a health problem can be a life changing experience. I only accept patients that I feel I can help.

Three things I love about chiropractic are:
- Patients consistently respond well to care.
- Spinal adjustments are extremely safe. (Doctors don't want to hurt someone, and get sued! Chiropractors are well trained, spinal adjustments are safe when performed by a chiropractor.)
- A core belief of chiropractic is the body has a God given ability to heal naturally.
